Into the Unjust broadens Helldivers 2’s interstellar bug pursuit
Helldivers, brace yourselves: a fresh expansion is set to drop in a little over a week, taking the battle straight to the Terminids. Prepare to bring democracy to these bug - ridden hive planets. Into the Unjust makes its debut on September 2, plunging players into unexplored regions and tasking them with carrying out missions on the Terminids' home worlds, where the insects hold the upper hand.
Certain missions will send squads far underground, beyond the reach of the Super Destroyer's support. This means Strategems will be nowhere near as efficient, and redeployments will be restricted. These missions will crank up the difficulty, but life on the surface isn't any easier either.
New adversaries such as the Dragonroach threaten from above, and there are other, even stronger foes yet to be uncovered. Some enemies can dig into the ground and launch unexpected attacks, so never let your guard down just because you don't spot anything. That's their way of getting you.
Naturally, the expansion comes with the new Dust Devils Warbond, which brings a whole set of brand - new weapons to aid in wiping out the bugs. First off is the AR - 2 Coyote, an assault rifle that sets enemies on fire. The G - 7 Pineapple frag grenade is ideal for taking out groups of bugs in one go, while the S - 11 Speargun fires a tough projectile that releases toxic gas upon impact.
There's also the EAT - 700 Expendable Napalm, a one - time use missile that deploys cluster bombs, and the MS - 11 Solo Silo, which puts all the power of a Hellpod at a Helldiver's fingertips.
The missions kick off on September 2, and the Dust Devils Warbond arrives two days later, on September 4.
The timing couldn't be better. With Xbox players joining the ranks of Helldivers starting today, these new recruits will have just enough time to get familiar with their weapons before diving into the fray. Just keep in mind: even if you perish, every death is a sacrifice made in the name of spreading democracy.
